A colour that didn't quite make it into a collection. A handful of tiny glass remnants that are too beautiful to put away and far too interesting to throw out.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI've always found it difficult to part with these things. So, rather than letting them sit in a drawer, I've been finding ways to give them a new life.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWelcome to the Easthope Minimal Waste Collection.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHandmade in my little Shropshire studio, these one-of-a-kind and small-batch pieces are made using leftover Murano glass, rescued materials and the little bits and pieces that remain after a making session. Each piece begins with what is already here, allowing the colours, shapes and textures of the glass to lead the way.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSometimes it's a tiny remnant that becomes something entirely new. Sometimes it's a collection of colours that would never have been put together intentionally, but somehow make perfect sense once they're melted, shaped and finished.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe result is a collection of handmade glass jewellery that feels a little unexpected. Colourful, characterful and entirely its own thing.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMaking something out of what's left\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWorking with glass is a wonderfully unpredictable process. There are always little remnants, offcuts and pieces that don't quite fit into the original plan.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRather than treating these as waste, I collect them, experiment with them and find ways to bring them into new designs.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt's not about making everything perfectly uniform. Quite the opposite, actually.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe variations in colour, shape and size are part of what makes these pieces special.
